I’d never missed a retie with my original Loctition and followed all of her rules but was still experiencing thinning, bunching, and holes and it wasn’t being addressed. I LOVE my hair! I had it braided in singles with a French curl and they came out perfect. The women who did my hair were fast and worked as a team. The owner Carmen! She is sooo kind and fun. She’s willing to listen and help you with any concerns. With semi small singles I came in at 7am and finished at around 1130/12 and it went to 12 because the hair was heavy so they cut some of it off to make it lighter. I loved my experience as a whole and it was fun to watch everyone work as a team. We have been having a nightmare of a time trying to find anyone to do my daughters hair that is reliable in this area. Lucky Hair Braiding & Locs was able to see my daughter last minute after another cancelation from another braider in the area and they were so kind to us and made my daughter and I feel comfortable. I had a wonderful experience at lucky locs salon! Carmen is a wonderful, knowledgeable woman who truly cares about the health of your hair. My consultation was informative and she even did a couple tester locs (braids and twist) so I would know what to expect on my install day. Her work is superb and while she will do the style you request she will let you know what will work best for your unique hair type. I went to her for my starter micro locs using two strand twists and I am in love with them!! I will be going back for my maintenance as well. I highly recommend Lucky Locs for anyone considering locs!! Michelle is also wonderful and they got my hair done much quicker than I was expecting. 10/10
Update: I’ve now been coming to this salon for my hair maintenance for 16 months now and I’m still very happy with the service I receive each time, as well as the progress of my hair. When making an appointment start on the website and book a consultation FIRST haha. You can book an appointment right after a consultation but that will always come first at this salon.

Well worth the 4.5 hours. I have long hair and they were able to give me box braids fairly quickly. They also recommended the best products that have really helped reduce any dandruff and itching to nearly nothing. This was my first time here. I booked last minute on a Saturday because I saw that they had openings. They accepted my booking and were flexible when I told them that I was running a bit late. Before starting my crochets, Carmen asked if I was tender headed (I don’t get asked that very often from stylists) and I told her YES, EXTREMELY. I could see that she was taking her time with the parting and being extra careful and slow when she encountered any tangles. She asked me very often if she was braiding too tight, to make sure that I was comfortable. She asked me what directions she wanted everything to flow in so that she could cater to it. She offered me water. Was in and out in 2hrs (would’ve been quicker if I detangled my hair better beforehand). Was affordable. This was one of the best experiences that I have ever had a hair salon. Will definitely be coming back.

Note: if you want your baby hairs out, make sure you let them know before hand, so they don’t braid everything back. I forgot until the end, but I am still super satisfied with the quality and the price

Also note: PLEASE be careful with taking your braid foundation out. Their pattern is very complex and it is extremely easy to cut your own hair (guilty) even though they warned me....more

My experience was very good. Got my hair done in mostly singles last Friday and when I explained to her the troubles I've had with previous hair stylists, she was very understanding. My hair is not thick and course like most black hair... Very soft and thin. She did reconstructive braids which immediately let me know that she knew what she was doing. Last person that did my hair had 4 people working on me and I lost a lot of hair and edges in a matter of days. Here, I only had her and one other lady who only finished the ends for her. I know that when it's time to take these down I will have hair left on my head (more than what I had. Lol). I feel extremely satisfied and I'm very happy that I have finally found a stylist that I look forward to returning to....more
